Disneyland Hong Kong

The hostel had promised to book Disneyland ticket for us last night before 12 pm. If we like their FB page, $10 will be discounted for each person. Unfortunately, their quota has been filled up.

I expected that going to Disneyland on Monday will not be as crowded as weekends. But we still have to be there early to buy the tickets at least before the gate opened at 10 am. However, the disadvantage when we are leaving early during working day, we have to be rushing together with the working people.

It took an hour from Tsim Sha Tsui to reach Disneyland by MTR with 2 transits at Central and Sunny Bay. Only one station to reach Disneyland Resort station.

Sunny Bay Station transit to Disneyland Line

And hey, here I am! Let's become a small kid again. I think I grew up with Disney cartoons, but sadly I didn't really remember all the stories.

Entrance fee for an adult is HKD450. Outside foods are not allowed. We brought some cookies and tried very hard to hide it before enter the park, and we made  it!

Let us see the map down here. You can use this map to plan your journey in this park. Show schedule are listed for reference. Enjoy the pictures (actually I'm to lazy to write).

Watching all these characters again made me really happy. I guess I was too tensed with my personal problems before I left. I completely forgot about all those rubbish. I can't help to come out with a statement that one fine day I will bring my children to this place especially if I have daughter (s).  I said IF, ok.

You don't have to worry about finding Halal foods here. There are few restaurant providing various type of foods. Again, the prices are ridiculous. If you are too hungry, just close your eyes and pay for it. The restaurant that we went was providing Asean cuisines. These 2 plates are Nasi Lemak and Nasi Ayam Tandoori worth of $98 each, which is almost MYR40 for 1 plate. Crazy price isn't it? That was why we only took 2 and shared it among us. The taste were not bad after all.

7 pm, we were still here. Fireworks scheduled at 8.00 pm and we did not want to miss it. While waiting for it, we did our last shopping for the souvenirs. Not to compare with Universal Studios Singapore (USS), Disneyland has less options especially for the fridge magnet.

Avenue of Stars

It was still early when we left Disneyland. About 9 pm, if I'm not mistaken. Even though we already tired, we still went to our final destination, Avenue of Star instead of going back to the hostel. From Tsim Sha Tsui station, we took exit J (exit D to Nathan Road) to reach this place. It was a walking distance, but I felt that it was a never ending journey.

Most of the stars are Hong Kong superstars. Too bad, I didn't know most of them. In fact, I didn't walk towards the end. Only Mira did. Tough girl.

Mira managed to see the famous stars like Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee and other towards the end of the walkaway. While 3 of us just sit and wait somewhere resting our legs. Huhu!

Bruce Lee in memories

Nothing else to see, we finally went back to the hostel when the clock turned to 10.30 pm. Tired, but satisfied. Another bad experience at the hostel, they turned off the wifi at 11 pm. Urghh!!

Day 4 - Back to KL

Our flight scheduled at 13.20 pm bound to LCCT KL.  Not to get stuck with working people, we check out at the hostel around 9.00 am. The MTR is also connected to the Airport Terminal. However, we were stuck and confused to take the Airport Express Line due to insufficient balance of our Octopus Card. The fare to the airport terminal was $100 and we only had less than $25 in our card.

Actually it was another counter when went up to the platform. Since we were in a group, there was a group card sold for $260 for four cards. Lucky enough, we could save almost half of the actual price. The Octopus Card can be refunded at the Airport Terminal as well.

HK Intenational Airport

Hong Kong International Airport consists of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The AirAsia flight will depart from Terminal 2. There were another challenges to get to the departure gate. It was very far and we had to take a shuttle bus, and again, I couldn't really communicate with the local people when I didn't understand the accent.

Since we still have a lot of cash (refund from hostel and Octopus Card), we went to do some shopping at the airport. I didn't do any, and I still have the cash with me now. We arrived at LCCT around 5 pm. My mom fetch me and I went straight to my class. My total budget was actually MYR1000 = HKD2380 and I didn't finish it. Hoho..what a record!

It was a fruitful trip. Tiring, but I guess we had fun. End of the journey. Till we meet again at different destination.
