Day 3-Star Cruise Libra (Penang-Phuket-Krabi-Penang) :: 23-26 Oct 2011

Day 3, the next destination, Krabi. The situation at Krabi was a bit different. It didn't have a pier for the ship. So it anchored a bit far from the land and we had to take chartered ferry to go to the jetty. But we had to wait as they let us go batch by batch. We reach Krabi a bit late about 11 am  due to the transferring process.

We can how big is the ship from the ferry

The view at Krabi is much nicer. For me, Krabi is like Langkawi in Malaysia. It is quite, beautiful and safe place for tourist. The good thing about Krabi is they have more Muslim people compared to Phuket. It means that will be easier for us to look for halal foods.

Ao Nang Krabi

There were no car rentals offered here. But they have Tuk Tuk, a so called taxi that can bring us to Ao Nang  Beach. I can't remember how much was the fare because they charged us per vehicle. This time, we stayed together with the same group of four.

Tuk Tuk

After we reached Ao Nang beach, we could see there were a lot of shops, restaurants, and motel located along the road. The road is actually nearer to the beach which gave us a very nice view. There were also a lot of shops offered motorbike for rental. Since we no need to travel much, we decided to rent 2 motorbikes. Unfortunately, these new friends, Tini and Dayah, did not have motorcycle license and they did not even know how to ride a motorcycle. So Amy and I had to ride separate motorcycle and these 2 girls became our passenger.

Scooter for rent

We did not know exact place to go actually. We were just moving around at some places and then return the motorbike and did some shopping and look for souvenirs.

We went back to the Jetty and had to wait for the next ferry to go back to the cruise. That time was quite early, it was only 4 pm as we had no where else to go.

We were back to the ship and ready for the dinner. As usual, we took every food served like we never eat for months. Tonight we decided to join some of the shows provided. One of it was a magic show and another one was just a fun game with passengers.

It was the last night on board. Tonight the cruise was sailing back to Penang. It means it was the end of our vacation. So we were just had walk at the Pool Deck and enjoy the night view, thinking not to go back home.

Sad faces before back to Malaysia
