Autumn in Margaret River - Sunny in Mandurah

Autumn in Margaret River - Sunny in Mandurah

Margeret River, Western Australia was really a lovely place. I fell in love with the view and relaxing weather. It was suitable for grape farms as Margeret River was well know as winery heaven in Western Australia. The grape farms could be seen from the road site.

We checked out earlier that morning to go the Margaret River Chocolate Company. We were not sure what they open, so we just walking around Margeret River Tourist Park and Cottages and enjoyed taking pictures. This place was one of the favourite destination of travelers especially those who were traveling with caravans. The provide the caravan park with basic accommodation and power supply so that they could charge the caravan. Camp site and tent rental were also provided for those who prefer budget traveling.

On the way to the chocolate company, we dropped by at Cowaramup, Brussel Highway. Located 10 kilometres north of Margaret River township right in the heart of the tiny township of COWARAMUP. Close to the corner of Bussell Highway and Bottrill Streets - take the first turn right after passing the 60 kilometre per hour sign into "Cow Town" (Cowaramup).

FREE CHOCOLATE TASTINGS at The Margaret River Chocolate Company! Commonly referred to as "The Chocolate Factory", The Margaret River Chocolate Company is one of Western Australia's most popular tourist attractions, with manufacturing, sales and cafe facilities in both Margaret River and the Swan Valley.

When we reached, we found out that they actually opened at 9 am. We had wasted our time taking pictures at our stay because we thought that they opened at 10 am.

Nothing to regret when you come here. It was a chocolate heaven. Since we still had plenty of taime, we decided to have a break and have some chocolate drinks and cakes. It was so nice and sweet and full of chocolates until I couldn't have it more.

The prices were not really cheap actually. Of course I should not convert the currency into MYR, but our assumption that the price would be crazily cheap was wrong. I didn't buy much except for Pistachio Nougat because I was not a chocolate lover.

We planned to go to Penguin Island after Lina got this idea from the travel book that I had brought. We were driving to Safety Bay Road, Rockingham and hope that we could find any jetty to the island. After we asked around, it seems that nobody knew how to go there. We ended up stopped by at a surfing area in Rockingham.

I made a reservation at Mandurah tonight. Since Rockingham was above Mandurah, we had to drive  about 20 km to Mandurah. The Atrium Resort Hotel was the place that we would overnight for 1 night. The rate was $132 per room per night with triple bed. This room also equipped with a kitchen together with kitchen utensils, an LCD TV and free WIFI.

It was still early (around 4 pm) when we checked in. So we went out again to look for a place to hang out. It was actually very close to the beach. We enjoyed the sunset view so much by walking along the beach.
